GLP-1 Medications and Health at Every Size: A Dietitian’s Compassionate Guide to Reflection

In preparing to write a GLP1 guide from a health at every size perspective, I realized I felt a lot of pressure. There are a plethora of resources that eloquently explain GLP1s. There are excellent arguments for and against their use. There is also so much GLP1 noise: social media onslaught, ads, workplace discussions, doctor office pressures, the list goes on. I believe that GLP1 discussions should be highly individualized to each person. There is so much nuance to explore, from health conditions to disordered eating history to access and financial privilege. I can’t speak to all of this in a single blog post. So instead of adding more noise, I’m stepping back to encourage you to turn inward, reflect, and connect to the wisdom of your body.

I sat down with fellow dietitian Emilee Young to create these journal prompts. We want to encourage grounding and reflection instead of anxiety and pressure. I suggest finding a safe, cozy environment to settle in and explore. You could even bring this to a therapy or dietitian session to discuss further!
